2017 Edition

The theme of the encounter animated this edition of the Chamber Music Festival, which constitutes one of the essential chapters of the concert activity of the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music along with the usual musical and didactic programming.
The setting of this edition of the Festival, curated by Maestro Claudio Trovajoli, was open to various perspectives and proposed different points of reflection: the meeting of artistic personalities, the meeting of instrumental talents, the meeting of (and with) new music (with Edgard Alandia “guest composer” of the event), the meeting of musical creativity with the concept of “nature” and therefore the confrontation with the very concept of descriptivism in music.
[…]A “global” concept of “Encounter,” then, understood as a sum of cultural experiences that can always and in any case leave a mark and trace the path of positive, definitive and irreversible change. The “small” but very concentrated journey that has proposed the programming of the Festival “Concertando” 2017 proposes, of course, chamber music as a leading section and has proposed precisely, in this sense, to leave a mark, small but important, in each of its listeners.
